The Chair — Lies We Tell Ourselves
People lie, but the ones we deceive most are ourselves. We tell ourselves we’re stronger, smarter, thinner, or better looking than we really are. But lies don’t make us better — facing truth does. If you’re weak, train the body. If you’re ignorant, learn. If you’re overweight, eat less. If you’re sloppy, dress sharper. Lies only chain you; action sets you free.
The danger is that once you begin believing lies, you need more and more to hold them up. Eventually, the truth feels like an enemy. And when truth finally comes, the house of lies collapses, leaving you crushed beneath it. If you won’t face your lies, you become hollow — a void. The void destroys from within and leads to misery in life and death. But it doesn’t have to end that way. Choose truth. Face your fears. Accept who you are, then build and grow. Work is required, yes — but it leads to life. Lies only lead to emptiness. So start the work, don’t be one of the void, be afraid of it so you can be happy and help others around you on the path of God and truth.
I, The Boss, know you have the strength to walk in truth if you want it. If you wish to see it. It’s a beautiful thing...hard and real, but beautiful.
