The Weight of the Watch

The Weight of the Watch

A watch means more than just hours and minutes.
Sure, we check it to see the time—but if you're paying attention, it tells you more than that.

Time doesn’t crash into us. It slips. Day by day. Week by week. Until one day you find yourself asking the question everyone dreads:
"Where did it all go?"
And if your answer isn’t joy, chances are, it’s regret.

We've all let moments pass. Missed chances. Sat still while something we should’ve grabbed drifted out of reach. Some more than others. But there comes a point—when you either reach out and take hold of something meaningful... or you just keep watching it drift.

You don’t need to be rich.
But you damn well better be useful.

You need to bring something to your life. To the people around you. You already know what you’re good at—even if no one ever told you. You’ve felt it. You’ve caught on to something faster than most. A skill, a spark, a pull toward something real.

But too many waste it.
Because it takes work.
Because sometimes, chasing it costs money.
And let’s be honest—not all of us have that kind of freedom right now.

So what then?

You take the long road. You grind. You sacrifice those easy, cheap pleasures that fade the second they’re over.
Because what you’re building needs to last longer than the moment.

And maybe that’s why so many people don’t wear watches anymore. Not because it’s out of fashion. Not because it’s heavy.
But because deep down, they’re afraid to see time slipping by.
They don’t want the reminder that life is ticking—
with or without their permission.

Here’s the truth:
It’s not too late.
Unless you decide it is.

So get the damn watch.
Look at it.
Let it remind you of what’s falling through your hands.
And do something about it.

Because time isn’t your enemy.
It’s just honest.

No excuses.
Get the watch.

Or get the shiny little Apple Watch... and play a game while your life fades quietly into the background.
